Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EZTax platform (the "Service") operated by Alpha Libra LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

EZTax is a tax computation and filing assistance platform designed for Nigerian taxpayers. The Service helps you compute your tax obligations (PIT, VAT, WHT, CIT), manage tax documents, track filing deadlines, and prepare returns based on the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 and related legislation.

Important: EZTax is a technology platform, not a licensed tax advisory firm. The computations provided are based on publicly available tax laws and rates. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your filings before submission to the relevant tax authority (FIRS, State Internal Revenue Service). We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional for complex situations.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

All prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦). We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate until the end of their billing cycle.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
  • Submit knowingly false tax information through the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

5. Tax Filing Disclaimer

EZTax does not submit filings to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) or any State Internal Revenue Service on your behalf unless explicitly stated. The Service generates computations and return documents that you can download and submit through the appropriate government channels. We are not liable for errors in your filing that result from incorrect information you provided.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and branding, is owned by Alpha Libra LLC. You retain ownership of the data you upload to the Service. By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alpha Libra LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos, Nigeria.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
